Compass exists to help you understand possible eligibility, not to profile you.

What Compass collects

Only the answers you give in the screener. If you save your result by email or text, we also store that contact channel — and only because you asked us to.

What Compass never asks for

  • Social Security numbers
  • Bank account or routing numbers
  • Immigration document numbers

The official state application will ask applying members for SSNs. That is a requirement of the government program, not of Compass. Compass hands you off to that portal — it never receives the SSN itself.

Analytics

We track only the product events needed to improve completion — for example, which screen a person left from. We never send detailed household facts to advertising pixels, and we do not use your answers for advertising.

Deleting your session

Anonymous sessions live in your device's storage. Clearing your browser data removes them. When Compass adds cloud sync, a delete-my-session control will live on your result page.
